Sometimes work is wonderful. When I met with Amanda at The Bean in Las Cruces I knew that working with her would really be “working” with her. It turns out that photographing Forrest and Amanda’s wedding was just what my heart needed. A mini-vacation in the rolling hills of Texas, surrounded by so many of our mutual friends was a treat in itself, but closely following and photographing this couple on this incredible day was so, so lovely and just rejuvenating. I loved that she chose her parent’s farm as their location, and their wedding cake table was filled with various framed photos of their families from throughout the years. From the morning to the late evening I saw kindness, love, and gentleness shown to each other and passed on to everyone around, and everyone around responded in turn. It was like we were all just glad to get to be there, and glad to get to be a part of such a wonderful day.
It’s hard to create a single blog post for an entire 12-hour country chic wedding, and it’s even harder when you love the people and want to share each and every image. So here are a few to help you catch a bit of what went on. I hope you enjoy.
And if you’re interested in asking me to photograph your incredible day, please reach out. I’d love document your wedding, too.
And from my amazing second shooter, Elizabeth, the next few shots…
